For you, if you want the joint benefits of bromelain's optimal absorption

The ingredients in Specially-Coated Bromelain can:
  • Promote joint function and comfort

  • Inhibit inflammation to support joint health

  • Encourage healthy blood thickness (viscosity)

Bromelain is a mixture of proteases extracted from the stem of the pineapple and has been used by Europeans for many years to inhibit inflammatory factors to support joint health. Specially-Coated Bromelain has been enteric-coated so that it will not be activated in the stomach and used as a digestive enzyme.

Product details:
Health benefits at a glance

First of all, what is bromelain? It's a group of natural enzymes found in the stem of the pineapple that are shown to help calm inflammation in the body.

The vegetarian tablets in Specially-Coated Bromelain can provide optimal absorption of bromelain, promoting joint health and mobility.

Why it works:

Bromelain properties

Bromelain can help regulate fluid balance by inhibiting inflammatory cytokine production and stopping neutrophil migration, which is the movement of certain immune cells (white blood cells) that can worsen inflammation.

Research also shows that bromelain can promote healthy circulation by supporting blood thickness (viscosity) and platelet activity. (1,3)

Enteric-coated to bypass the stomach

However, bromelain has to be enteric-coated so that it will not be activated in the stomach and used as a digestive enzyme. Such specially coated bromelain tablets pass into the small intestine, where they are absorbed into the bloodstream to provide benefits, such as a healthy inflammatory response to support comfort and function of the joints. (4)

The science behind the product:

Backed by clinical studies for joint health

According to research, enteric-coated bromelain is at least as effective as other approaches in supporting joint comfort, function, and health, and is well tolerated. (5)

One study even found that bromelain is more effective than other methods for maintaining joint function at rest (41 percent for bromelain vs. 23 percent for other methods). Another clinical trial showed that specially coated bromelain resulted in an overall increase in general well-being, along with improvement in comfort and physical function. (6-7)
